S3: Kentaro (USA win)
S2: Shinji (JPN win)
S1: Kirihara (USA win) - unfortunately, he went up against Kevin
Alt: Hiyoshi
(Note: Echizen wasn't chosen because the Senbatsu admins found out he was on the roster for the US Open, and thus can't qualify to play in the International Goodwill games due to some obscure rule.)

pre-Nationals: Echizen chooses to go to the US Open at the last moment. Suffers many a nightmare of a looming Tezuka-buchou. So basically he goes pro for the next two years or so.

Nationals - Shintenhouji:
D2: Katsuo-Kachiro - loss
D1: Kaidoh-Ikeda - win
S3: Horio - loss
S2: Arai - loss
S1: Momo - win
Alt: Hayashi

Meanwhile, in senior high (H-1):

Freshmen aren't allowed to compete in ranking matches until fall, so no one's on the Regulars. However, due to the same seniors as 3 years ago picking on Tezuka, Inui and Fuji (with maybe help or at least non-interference from the GP) wreaks havoc on their senpai-tachi. Atobe also shows up with all of Hyotei high's freshman tennis members and all of Hyotei Jr. High's tennis members.

So the third year Regulars are maimed after the June ranking matches and right before Kanto. So Hiko just assigns the best freshman players to fill the five empty spots: Tezuka, Fuji, Inui, & the GP. They play through Kanto.

Kanto semis: Seigaku vs Rikkai (Rikkai win)
D2: Seigaku second years vs. Marui-Yagyuu (Rikkai win)
D1: Golden Pair vs. Rikkai third years (Seigaku win)
S3: Fuji vs. Sanada (Rikkai win)
S2: Tezuka vs. Yanagi (Seigaku win)
S1: Seigaku second year vs. Yukimura (Rikkai win)

In the August ranking matches, the seniors are back and the freshman are off the list again, except for Tezuka and Fuji, since no one wants another mob attack. But because of that, they lose 1-4 in the first round of the nationals, with Tezuka holding the only win on Singles 3 and Fuji stuck on doubles.

Regulars list post-nationals: Tezuka, Fuji, Oishi, Eiji

Two years later in senior high (H-2):

Regulars list for District/Prefecturals: Tezuka, Fuji, Inui, Oishi

Prefectural semis: Seigaku vs. Yamabuki (Yamabuki won, then lost to Hyotei at the finals)
D2: Inui-Oishi (win)
D1: Fuji-third year (loss)
S3: third year buchou vs. Sengoku (loss)
S2: third year vs. third year (loss)
S1: Tezuka

Regulars list for Kanto: Tezuka, Fuji, Oishi, Eiji

(H-2) Kanto semifinals: Seigaku vs. Rikkai (Seigaku win)
D2: Yagyuu-Niou vs. GP (win)
D1: Yanagi-Marui vs. third years (loss)
S3: Kirihara vs. Fuji (win)
S2: Sanada vs. Tezuka (win)
S1: Yukimura vs. third year buchou year (no play)

(H-2) Kanto finals: Seigaku vs. Hyotei (Hyotei win)
D2: third years (loss)
D1: GP (win)
S3: third year (loss)
S2: Fuji vs. Atobe (loss)
S1: buchou vs. buchou (no play)
Alt: Tezuka

Regulars list: Tezuka, Fuji, Inui, Eiji

Nationals, first round
S3: third year (loss)
D2: Fuji-Inui (loss)
S2: Tezuka (win)
D1: Eiji-third year (loss)
S1: third year buchou (loss)

In Senior High (H-3):

District Tournament:

Random school 6 (5-0 win)
D2: Momo-Kaidoh
D1: GP
S3: Arai
S2: Inui
S1: Fuji
Alt: Tezuka

Echizen wasn't on the Regulars before this point because he didn't get back from America/Europe to make the Ranking Matches in time (something about his plane being rerouted to Beijing and Berlin and Denver and Chicago before landing in Kyoto, and then having to take the bus to Tokyo and missing his stop until he got to Sendai) and Arai got the last spot. But when he heard about how Kuki grabbed Tezuka's arm 3 years ago, he kept on trying to kill Arai to get back the spot. Arai finally went with self preservation and faked a cast and a bogus story about helping a pregnant lady. Hiko then put Echizen on Singles 3.

Kakinoki
D2: Inui-Kaidoh (win)
D1: GP (win)
S3: Kuki vs. Echizen (win, beatdown)
S2: Momo (no play)
S1: Fuji (no play)

Fudomine
D2: Uchimura-Mori vs. Inui-Eiji (loss)
D1: Ishida-Sakurai vs. Oishi-Kaidoh (win)
S3: Kamio vs. Echizen (win)
S2: Shinji vs. Fuji (win)
S1: Tachibana - Tezuka (no play)
(Reasoning: Hiko-sensei didn't bother trying to find out which doubles slot Ishida was going to be in. His solution was to just stick two players who can handle Ishida's power play in each of the doubles spots. And if the GP happens to get broken up? Oh well, it's good practice in case someone gets injured again. :p)

Prefecturals in Senior High:

Random school 7 (5-0 wins)
D2: Fuji-Kaidoh

Random school 8 (3-0 wins)
D2: Momo-Kaidoh

Random school 9 (3-0 wins)
S2: Kaidoh (no play)

Fudomine
D2: Uchimura-Mori vs. Momo-Kaidoh (win)
D1: Kamio-Sakurai vs. GP (win)
S3: Ishida vs. Fuji (loss)
S2: Shinji vs. Echizen (win)
S1: Tachibana vs. Tezuka (no play)
Alt: Inui

Hyotei (finals) - double default

Kanto in Senior High:

Random school 10 (5-0 wins)
D2: Momo-Kaidoh

Jousei Shounen
S3: Kaidoh (finally!)

Rikkai
D2: Inui-Kaidoh

Hyotei
S3: Kaidoh (win by forfeit)

Other Major Matches:

(H-3) Kanto semifinals: Hyotei vs. Fudomine (Hyotei wins)
D2: Mukahi-Kabaji vs. Ishida-Sakurai (Hyotei wins)
D1: Jiroh-Ohtori vs. Kamio-Shinji (Hyotei wins)
S3: Atobe vs. Tachibana (Hyotei wins)
S2: Shishido vs. Uchimura (no play)
S1: Oshitari vs. Mori (no play)

(H-3) Kanto consolation: Fudomine vs. Rikkai (Fudomine wins)
D2: Ishida-Sakurai vs. Jakkaru-no name 1 (Fudomine wins)
D1: Uchimura-Mori vs. Yanagi-Marui (Rikkai wins)
S3: Tachibana vs. Kirihara (Fudomine wins)
S2: Shinji vs. no name 2 (Fudomine wins)
S1: Kamio vs. Sanada (no play)
(Note - Yukimura and the Niou-Yagyuu pair were still out from the Inui Yanagi Juice of the previous day. See the corresponding Seigaku vs Rikkai high school Kanto fic in question.)

(H-3) National semifinals: Hyotei vs. Rikkai (Hyotei wins)
D2: Oshitari-Mukahi vs. Jakkaru-Marui (Hyotei wins)
D1: Shishido-Ohtori vs. Yagyuu-Niou (Hyotei wins)
S3: Hiyoshi vs. Kirihara (Rikkai wins)
S2: Jiroh vs. Yukimura (Rikkai wins)
S1: Sanada vs. Atobe + little children (Hyotei wins)

(U-1) Sr. Senbatsu:
D2: Kamio-Kentaro (USA win) - Spazzy duo. Ran out of stamina despite adrenaline high + uber metabolism.
D1: Hiyoshi-Shinji (JPN win) - the silent/mumbly duo that freaks out the opponent
S3: Kaidoh (JPN win) - because I said so
S2: Ohtori (JPN win) - Why is he on singles? Ask Okina. And he KO's the opponent again. Maybe.
S1: Kirihara (no play) - Good thing, since he'd have lost to Kevin again
Alt: Momo, I guess.
(Rationale for lineup: Hiko and Okina were on the board. To prevent being anticipated by the Americans, they moved the doubles pair from last Senbatsu - Kirihara & Ohtori - to singles, and the "doubles player" Kaidoh too. And moved the "singles players" into doubles. Don't ask. Echizen...they were too embarrassed to show him after last year. Or maybe he went pro again.)
