Upgraded to Win 11
Dec. 25th, 2024 11:58 amOn home PC. It's been nagging me to do so for a while now, but hadn't done it because TPM wasn't enabled. Finally sat down and figured out where to find the setting in the BIOS. Afterwards, went ahead and proceeded with the auto update.
Most things haven't changed all that much. Just have to get used to the new start menu display.

In general I find Windows 11 to be an inferior experience to Windows 10. I don't understand why OS grows worse with every iteration. The system really peaked with Windows 7.
(P.S. Haven't you been working with windows 11 on your business laptop? Why would you still need to get used to the new OS layout?)

A lot of the stuff I have to get used to are the really personalized settings, like the apps I had pinned on the start menu, or the favorite files I had pinned for apps like notepad, file explorer, etc.
My wallpaper carried over from before, so don't need to worry about that.
