HSR 2.7 coming out next week

Just got Aventurine and his LC this patch, which used up all of my saved up jades.

Next patch has Sunday, which I don't exactly like as a character. However, he's like a major specialized buffer for Jing Yuan. So... yeargh.

Wibbling between whether I want to shell out money for him. >_

I feel like the sane answer is no, because JY will never be meta. Getting a specialized buffer for JY isn't going to fix the problem of JY's mechanics don't play nice with later dungeons. Unless Sunday is actually meant to also buff a later DPS at some point that you'll be interested in.

But then again, I'm kind of peeved at this game's story already, so I'm against giving the company any more money until they fix the units they already have.

Sunday's skill will let another character plus their summon act immediately. Currently there are only 3 characters with summons: Jing Yuan, Topaz, Lingsha. Of these, Topaz and Lingsha have built in mechanics which can speed up their summon. Jing Yuan's lightning lord, on the other hand, is slow as hell and also more than half of his total damage. Hence, for now, Sunday's buff is the most relevant for Jing Yuan.

In the upcoming 3.x patches, HSR is introducing a new Remembrance class which is centered on summons. So once those characters comes out, Sunday's skill will also be relevant for them.

Welp, it depends on how much you'll like the summons class. Based on how things have been released, presumably whatever the next story location will be, the associated characters are probably going to benefit from Sunday. So does the next patch look like it'll have characters you want? If so, I guess it may be worth getting Sunday. Otherwise, I still vote no on RMT for a character that's not even that interesting.

Yeah, hopefully there will be other Harmony units for the summoner mechanic into 3.x
