GW2 Cantha and fishing

Emm... Ignoring the cheesy video, this fishing thing seems rather... boring? I mean, it feels like it's gonna be something similar to ascended cooking, so just another crafting line?

Also, the more I look at the boats, the more I'm meh about the skin. Checked and I didn't buy the deluxe preorder for HoT or PoF even on my main account. This time it doesn't feel like the boat skiff skin is worth it, though still pondering the raptor skin.

Ah, yes, manta mount, I forgot about that. Well, we'll see. If the only upside to boats is basically "mount but for multiple people", then...meh. Seems like a really pointless add. On the other hand, if it restructures travel mechanics the way mounts did, then it's just another power creep. Either way, I don't feel great about it.

The new expac is also coming with a seige turtle mount that can have more than one player on it. So it does look like multi-player transport is the new gimmick. I can see how this might change things if allowed into PvP or WvW, but not sure if this will cause power creep in PvE.
