tanithryudoZhou Shen has been often said to be well suited to Disney style songs, and he had done a few well received Disney covers. Now, he's officially the singer for the Chinese theme song of the new Disney Pixar film. The movie name is "Luca" in English and I think it's releasing tomorrow? Or is it already out? The chinese version is 《夏日友晴天》and supposed to be out in chinese theaters on the 20th.

Date: 2021-08-18 05:40 pm (UTC)Luca's been out for a couple of months now, and...yeah. Housemate and I watched it and it was...eh. I think the story is a bit confused about what theme it was going for. For me, it was honestly one of Pixar's worse projects, kinda down there with Cars.
It felt like the creators wanted to do Miyazaki, but didn't understand what made Miyazaki's movies work.
