Some bad news

So my dad was diagnosed positive for COVID-19. He's in the hospital now.

My mom had some mild fever these few days, but seem to be doing ok now. Not sure if she had mild COVID symptoms or if it's "just" a cold.

Me... I've had some mild cold symptoms lately. Bit of a sore throat the first day. Some sniffles the second day. And just a bit of congestion today (third day). I...really hope its just a cold for me.

Ugh.

I'm trying to avoid going outside if I can help it. So far my symptoms are fairly light even as normal colds go.

My mom went to take a test today and we're waiting to see the results.

I've been doom scrolling about COVID-19, so I'm paranoid now. There's so many horror stories, even though it's still rare (<1%). Do you have any signs of a fever? How's your sense of smell?

No fever at all. Some congestion though, so not smelling much.

Well, no fever is a good sign. Not being able to smell is not so good. Keep drinking fluids and eating high antioxidants foods. And try to rest as much as you can and let your immune system do its thing.
