So the Love Nikki event for Garden of Spiral Staircase is starting tomorrow.

I am definitely planning to get at least two of the major suits, with Night Banquet being a certainty. For the other one, I'm being torn between World in a Game for its foreground piece, or Fleeting Dream for the butterfly fairies. I mean, the giant weqi board is awesome, though I do have a less awesome weiqi-themed suit. The butterfly fairies are pretteh, but I also have other butterfly themed pieces. Uhn...

Also, want to double check, but for the minor set Moon in Mist, both versions are based on wintersweet flowers, right?



Then again, looking further at suit breakdowns, Night Banquet seems to have some clipping issues. So maybe I should instead drop that and get the other two?

EDIT: Alternatively... since it looks like you can buy individual pieces out of the suits instead of being forced to unlock an entire suit at a time, I could pick and choose the individual pieces out of all four sets. I do lose out on the posed versions and backgrounds though. Hrm.

First, yes, both dresses are wintersweets, just with a slightly different color scheme.

Second, I personally like the World in a Game set, that's my personal preference. So if you're looking for a vote, my inclination is to go with World in a Game (also somber colors are easier to match than brighter/pastel colors, less clashing issues).

Finally made my choice on the last day of the event. Got the full World in a Game suit, and then picked and chose among the others. Got the hair/accessories from Fleeting Dream, everything except the dress and coat for Night Banquet, and the mirror from Jealous Phantasm.

I know, right? I really like that makeup. Also hoping I'll eventually get the proper sets to make a 琴棋书画 quartet.

Also, my Wintersweet rendition... Switched out the hair/socks/shoes, added a fur coat/bag/sword/glove ruffles/earrings/etc. IMO this particular set looks better as a blonde than the traditional Chinese black hair.

The fur works well with the dress, I'm surprised. So that's Chrysanthemum, Wintersweet, and Orchid done. Which only leaves bamboo, right?

I actually have bamboo done too. Here's two versions. The second one is more subtle than the first one.

Hm, I think I like the first one better. The second one is subtle, like you said. Also, nice job on finding a shorter skirt! Also the wand is a great touch.
