Caveat Emptor

So I am going to be traveling next month, and I am contemplating getting a Tablet. This would essentially be replacing my existing Lenovo tablet computer, and my Nook eReader.

Pros:
Takes up much smaller room and weight in luggage for just one device versus several.
Less accessories to keep track of
I can bring a smaller purse sized bag...
Easy portable WIFI access (assuming WIFI service) and to files

Cons:
It obsoletes my tablet laptop and eReader
Costs (plus accessories)... I've already spent a lot this year
Can only expect to have WIFI service in HK
Have to learn Win8

Hrm... maybe I should just have my smartphone unlocked instead. If I turn off the cell service, I can use the WIFI on it. Does the GPS/location service use cell or WIFI I wonder...
