Hit lvl 80!

My ranger hit level 80 over the weekend. Big boost from all the Halloween mini-events all over the place. Also managed to do the Halloween dungeon in a team of 3 (5 person max dungeon). I feel accomplished! XDXD
There's a free devil horns hat from the gem shop - free like the baseball cap from opening week - so make sure to pick that up.
The quest line for Act 1 + 2 also give a good back item - it's a book you wear on your back with flames that glow in the dark (in shadows as well, not just at night) and appears to be max level stats without any level requirements. I was able to do it on my ele despite being underleveled for Bloodtide & Sparkfly - just a lot of running & dodging & leeching. XD *pokes cashew* Hit me up if you want help/run.
Halloween event ends on Thursday Nov. 1 so if you want to do it, do it before then.

I also leeched some more of your non-cooking crafting stuff
as payment. Needs moar iron...(no subject)

And yay! Back item! Oh yeah, I thought you said you need silver? I can mine iron when I get back to playing some time. ^^;

Date: 2012-10-30 10:45 pm (UTC)The one time I did have to fight I just kinda spammed all buttons. It was in a small enclosed tunnel with a veteran spider. Switch to bomb, hit 1-5 simultaneously, switch to grenade, hit 1-5 simultaneously, switch back, hit shield, hit heal, repeat. All other times, I just hung back and let other higher lvl people clear out the mobs and then rush the NPC quest dude.
I have enough silver for jewelry purposes. I need more iron since both the iron ingot and the steel ingot requires iron ore at the base level. I have enough iron ingots for general EQ purposes, but I need a lot of steel ingots for making 12 slot containers (10 ingots x 3 iron ore/ingot = 30 ore per container). I'm skipping the 10 slot containers since they're not that much of an upgrade, and 15 slot is currently out of reach due to lack of rare components to level up Armorsmithing and the expensiveness of major runes of holding. My Tailoring is probably high enough for 15 slots, but cloth scraps are harder to come by than ore since they're so drop dependent rather than available from resource nodes.
My ranger is probably going to go back and finish off some lower level zones now that she's hit 80 and her next goal is full PvE map completion (in between waiting on the queue for WvW so she can charm the last 2 pets only available there). So I should be able to get some more copper/iron and other mats there. But moar is always better.
Plus iron nodes are available in zones all the way up til like lvl 50, so you should be able to get them through playing zones of your level and not have to go out of your way for it.
