I heard an interesting bit about male/female sexuality on the radio this morning. Apparently Viagra has been doing research on seeing if their product would work on women like it does on men and have thrown up their hands about that.

Anyways, using the terms that they used on the radio, men equate "arousal" and "desire" (or, "continued sexual arousal") while women... don't. Apparently, the male brain had several areas active when aroused that women don't, or something like that. So while their test product could get both men and women aroused, they couldn't give women the motivational desire for further arousal or need to do something about that arousal, which happens almost naturally to men. They said it was the same thing with visual cues (like porn, I guess), which also cause arousal in both sexes, but not neccessarily desire in some cases. They guess that the process of stimulating "desire" in women is a more complicated issue, and is under further R&D.
