Summary: Back on Abydos, Daniel's curiosity gets the planet into trouble. But even as everyone scrambles to protect the planet, their problems is only a foreshadowing of what's to come.
Storm Front
Stargate Command, late October 1996 CE
- heart to heart between Daniel & Sha're (fluff)
-- analysis of Asgard test
-- curious about last chamber but couldn't get in
-- Sha're points out Skaara went with them; offers to go w/ him later
- for now studying Ra's structure
- find remote monitoring/comm device; listen in on Ra's broadcasts
- find out he's on his way to attack Earth
- accidentally lets Ra know they're listening in
- Ra threatens Abydos
- Daniel warns SG-1
- finishes installing iris just as Ra tries gating
- iris bombardment (ala Apophis in canon)
- SG-1 time the wormhole and manages to dial out once to warn Earth
- Ra's ship appears over Abydos, rings down troops
- SG-1 retreats to warn town; leaves Brown behind at gate to open for Earth
- Daniel & Sha're try to contact Asgard through the Hall
- Banks & co defend Abydos with local volunteers
- Banks shot protecting Abydonian leader
- Ferretti downed but still breathing
- Skaara is about to be shot but saved by timely reinforcements
- Jack & SGC reinforcements arrive; drives troops back
- al'kesh arrives with fire support and bombards Abydos town
- Daniel figures out how to turn on Asgard planetary defenses
- Moljnor zaps al'kesh; planetary shield prevents mothership bombardment
- Ra's leaves Abydos; presumably for Earth
- Daniel finds out he became married to Sha're due to Abydonian customs
- Daniel tells Sha're to bury the gate again behind them; will visit again if they live; Sha're says she'll pray to Thor for him

1. The Abydos of this timeline deviated about 1000 years ago when they were placed under the Asgard Protected Planets Treaty.
