Wasn't really expecting to get too far today. Did bounty in sleazy back alley and got harold's bell while I was at it. Did some pantry and unlocked Spookyraven Mansion. Got the encrypted key for Cobb but not the third painter item yet. Did lvl 2 quest somewhere in there but didn't get barskin for tent. Oh well.
Used pool table buffs to let me cast all my summons for the day. But at level 3 is too low to mix cocktails, and I'm saving the tomatoes for potions.
Bought expert panhandling. Banked 2358 meat and 6 turns. Got 4/5 can lids for gourd (tomorrow, which is stat day).
Semi-rare is at 118 turns.
Tomorrow: Goal is to make level 5. Need to farm meat to buy saucecrafting (5k), oven/cocktail kit (2k), unlock island (2.5k), unlock mushroom fields (5k)
Day 2
Bounty is Cobb today. Took it and got the painter item.
After hitting level 4, did the meat car quest to unlock shore. Bought a cocktail kit. Hit barrels and crafted some drinks. Used remaining turns in Haunted pantry for rest of gourd potion and Haunted Kitchen for food.
Ate some bad foods and drank some good alcohol to gain about 55 turns. Also went halfway to lvl 5. Also decided to use one of the sugar sheets to make a buff ranged weapon.
Went back to Cobb and killed stuff until PRESSIE gave me the cyborger buff. Used the buffed moxie to go to tavern and kill some rats. When cyborger wore off, went back to Cobb. Got to level 5 and finished bounty. Not enough meat to buy saucecrafting though.
Did some Cemetary and unlocked Fernswarthy. Did tavern and killed Baron for monocle (note - faucet is in middle of last row) on last turn.
Drank nightcap. Banked 13 turns, 4.2k meat. Semi-rare should be in 17 more turns if my math is right (probably want to confirm with cookie tomorrow).

Finished tavern quest.
Grabbed bounty and went to Sleazy Back Alley. Grabbed tarts while I was at it.
Did bat hole and got 3 sonars.
Ate kitchen food and pasties. Mixed 2 moxie swillers and another moxie drink from barrels, drank 2 schnapps from barrels to 14 drunk.
Finished up fernswarthy; picked up 1 disembodied brain while I was at it. Crafted the epic weapon. Went to cemetary to pick up a smart skull and crafted meat maid. Yay.
Did bugbear pens. Bought oven. Did some fun house. Have just over 5k meat, so bought saucecrafting. Ran 1 shore trip (didn't get item).
Drank nightcap and banked 22 turns. Nightcap also took me to level 6. Next semi-rare should be at 94 or 112.
Tomorrow: Bounty. Continue fun house. Do some meat farming (boss bat or treasury) to fund rest of shore trips.
Current Outfit: balloon helmet, 5-Alarm Saucepan, magical ice cubes, sticky meat skirt, shiny ring, baron's monocle, dirty hobo gloves.
Day 4
Bounty at pantry. Got a bunch of tomatoes and a gourd potion out of it. Used potion to hit 30 Myst.
Did 2 turns of Cobb kitchens and got a knob mushroom & sausage. Crafted 2 reagent pasta. *lick*
Finished up fun house.
Switched on leprechaun, sugar shield, and headed for boss bat. Grabbed lunchbox for semi-rare. Got about 11k meat. Unlocked mushroom field.
Ate pasty and 3 cocktails. Unlocked Whitey's. Unlocked island.
Used remaining reagent to craft tomato potion. Used potion to do hippy camp. Only got hippy pants. Did barrels and more drinks. Still no hat. Drank nightcap and called it a day.
Banked 28 turns, 7k meat.
Next semi-rare at 115.
Tomorrow: Have enough spices for 3 spooky lo mein and save the reagents for potions. Boss Bat britches. Friar's quest. Possibly steel margarita if there's enough turns.
Day 5
Finished up boss bat for pants. Got butt kicked by goblin king.
Bounty was Whitey's today so did that and picked up catgut while I was at it. Then did some more hippy camp until I finally got the hippy outfit.
Made and ate lo mein. Unlocked haunted library. Did Friar's quest and got screwed by RNG. Still need to Dark Heart for box of bday candles. Also managed to miss semi-rare and got SPF lip balm instead. Bleh.
Next semi-rare at 115 again.
Tomorrow: Finish Dark Heart. Get steel margarita. Start crypt.
Day 6
I hate April Fool's day. Stupid joke familiars won't go away even when I put away the active familiar.
Still managed to muddle through the rest of Friar's and got the steel margarita. Got one hellion cube and ate hell ramen and the knob reagent pasta.
Did Laboratory for bounty. Managed to only get 1 extra reagent out of 40 turns. Bah. Grabbed semirare lunchbox.
Banked rest of turns for tomorrow. It ain't worth playing today.
Tomorrow: Will hit level 8 soon, so will need to buy wave of sauce (8k) and jalapeno (7k), cookbook, as well craft chefstaff. I've got 13k right now so that's 6k more to go. For staff, still need cherry and guano coffee cup. Also, will work on crypt

Day 7
Grabbed the basket first thing. Might as well see how many eggs I can pick up before I can afford cookbook.
None of the bounties look appealing... Decided to start with Crypt instead. Kept getting the non-com but not the boss. Then I hit level 8 and the trapper wanted chrome. So decided to do mines first for rollover adventures. Did some mines with polka, until got costume.
Then used up rest of polka at crypt (managed to complete nook). Put on mining outfit and got 3 chromes. Crafted chrome staff.
Not quite enough moxie yet for the goatlet. So bought wave of sauce and did rest of Crypt. Used wave for the bosses and picked the meat option for all the non-coms.
Kill King Cobb for cape, and bonerdragon for vertebrae. Crafted badass belt, bonerdragon necklace, and boxen.
Had enough moxie (maybe) at this point to do goatlet, so picked up bounty. Crafted & ate reagent pasta. Not enough reagents left for milk of magnesium, unfortunately. Finished bounty. Threw on some more polka pop and got the rest of the chef staff ingredients. Crafted chef staff; bought special sauce glove and hot cookbook.
Grabbed semirare in pantry. Did daily dungeon and got Jarlesburg's key.
Mixed and drank some drinks. Finished Doc Galactik's quest. Did pirate's cove and got the pirate outfit.
Drank nightcap and banked 31 turns. Sold junk and bought elemental saucesphere. Finished lvl 8 quest and sold the skins. Bought Glacial Grimoire.
Tomorrow: 1 Myst left until lvl 9. Probably should unlock Spookyraven 2nd floor while I'm at it. Food will be 2x jarlesburg key lime pies, grue egg omelette, with milk of magnesium (and 2 saved reagents). Might also do dark and sinister cave if it's a clover day. Or around the world quest otherwise.

Daily dungeon gave me Sneaky Pete's breath spray. Did bounty in treasury. Got to level 9.
Did strange leaflet and cooked the grue egg omelette. Used 1 reagent to make 3 milk of magnesia. Drank 1 milk, ate omelette, 2 jarlesburg key lime pies, and a evil burger.
Did orc chasm. Got 31337 script and hacked hermit. Unlocked dark and sinister cavern. Did a few turns of pirate cove for jolly roger charrrm bracelete. Finished orc chasm quest.
Grabbed semi-rare lunchbox (will save items for tomorrow)
Completed around the world quest; gathered rest of chef staff upgrade ingredients; upgraded to staff of black kettle.
Did some barney's barrr. Drank nightcap.

Unlocked Spookyraven. Bountied at pirates. Apparently you can use the book of insults on the cove pirates too.
Got Boris key from daily dungeon.
Finished bounty. Unlocked F'cl'e. Did Large Chamber. Did F'cl'e and got pirate fledges. Did some more F'cl'e but didn't get tarnished charrm. Bleh. Unlocked Poop Deck and got fledges.
Harvested 3rd gen mushrooms and unlocked spooky barrows. Got enchanted toothpick. Hrm... have enough spell damage to trigger wave of sauce's special, but then overkilling things. Damn.
Grabbed semi-rare tarts.
Went to Haunted Bedroom. Unlocked Ballroom. Hit level 10. Grabbed spookyraven quest item. Bought jabanero saucesphere.
Still one-shotting and can't use the bonus from wave of sauce. On the other hand, with jabanero + sugar hat + black kettle staff + stainless steel, the net MP cost for wave is about 0-ish. HP is slightly more an issue with harder hitting mobs.
Unlocked Castle. Bought Intrinsic Spiciness. Killed Nemesis and got epic hat. Drank nightcap. Banked 37 turns.

Tomorrow: See how far I get with Castle (with potion, mebbe). May need to level moxie/muscle in Bedroom.
Day 10
Daily Dungeon gave the last key. Did bounty.
Did a little bit of Ballroom for moxie. Did castle to unlock Hole in the Sky and finish quest (used chef staff set with sugar hat and sugar pants, plus swabbie swabs/bonerdragon necklace for initiative).
As it's Myst day, finally used the bonerdragon chest and the stat script to boost stats.
Tried to do hole in the sky and could take all except the Astronomer. Meh. Decided to level in Haunted Bedroom instead. Picked up Lunchbox for semi-rare while I was at it. Got to level 11.
Started level 11 quest. Finished Wine Cellar part (Muscat is the drinkable bottle).
Did pirates to unlock belowdecks, palindrome and get acoustic guitar. Tried to finish pagoda quest but the guitar pick just...wont...drop...!! Two karmas and 4 polka pops later, nada. Grrr.
Drank nightcap and called it a night. Banked 14 turns.
Tomorrow: Finish palindrome/level 11 quest.
Day 11
Tried to do bounty for Spooky Forest. Instead unlocked temple without even getting 1 bounty kill. Unlocked Ruins and switched bounty to Lab instead. Picked up semi-rare at pantry while I was at it.
Cooked 1 knob lo mein from spices picked up from forest, 1 reagent pasta, 1 knob pasty left over from yesterday, and the 3 tarts from today... all with milk, for 82 turns gained from food. *lick*
Finished bounty (didn't pick up many extra reagents cuz I wasn't willing to spend the polka pops).
Finished Palindrome quest. Did 2 more polka pops worth of attempts for guitar pick. No dice. At this point I'm wasting more turns trying to get pagoda than I'll ever make back from it before I ascend. Grar. Hit level 12.
Stopped at 31 turns and decided to save the rest for opening battlefield tomorrow. Drank all the drinks for another 70+ turns. Banked a total of 110 turns for tomorrow.
Tomorrow: Start war. Do arena, do yossarian, lighthouse, up to fruit stand
Day 12
Semi-rare at 83 or 117
Did bounty at pirates.
Started war. RNG hateses me. Decided to do hippy cuz the frat outfit would replace the weapon slot. Grar.
Did Organic Orchard & Farm as Hippy. Somehow managed to miss semi-rare. Decided to skip Nuns. Did some battlefield. Turned off non-com song. Did lighthouse. Did some more battlefield. Got butt kicked at Junkyard and decided to skip.
Did more battlefield. Unlocked arena. Turned song back on in Ballroom. Went to Haunted Bathroom and summoned guy made of bees to finish arena quest. Did a few more turns of battlefield and called it a day.
Day 13
Bounty at Airship. Semirare lunchbox. RNG was horrible and despite my best efforts, I hit lvl 13.
Finished off war. Threw on a serum of sarcasm and whammied The Man. Got Yellow Moon of Compassion (at least it's one I haven't already got).
Sewered for 2 clovers. Did dessert/oasis. Finished MacGuffin quest.
Banked rest of turns for tomorrow.

Went thru hedge maze. Hit a bottleneck in Tower for black pepper. Traded in 3 clovers in black forest and no pepper. Grr. Tried to get wand from DoD but no go. Did some orc chasm for more clovers. Finally got black pepper.
Couldn't get past the shadow and used up red pixel potions... will need to get more tomorrow (or do scented massage oil for semi-rare)
Day 15
Bounty in Wine Cellar. Picked up scented massage oil.
Farmed a bunch of red pixel potions.
Suicided to NS 5 times. Then killed her on second try with combo of red pixel potion + scented massage oil. (Realized I never used the bunch of macrame nets I had... *headdesk*) Gear was: sugar hat, sugar pants, black kettle staff, kickback cookbook, stainless solitaire, sauce glove, bejeweled pledge pin. Took about 2 normal saucegeysers (or 1 spell crit) hits to kill each aspect of NS.
Broke prism (yay). Then went back to poop deck to unlock volcano. Farmed a bunch of slimes for slime potions. Cooked all 6 tier 3 slime potions.

Got butt kicked by Lumpy even with a bunch of buffs. Wasted some turns trying to get scarysauce from Library, with no effect. Decided to use the leftover macrame nets instead and killed Lumpy easily *rolleyes*. Oh well.
Considered finishing mushroom quest, but given that the fermented drinks don't sell all that well, decided might as well ascend instead.

Finished bounty (didn't pick up many extra reagents cuz I wasn't willing to spend the polka pops).
Finished Palindrome quest. Did 2 more polka pops worth of attempts for guitar pick. No dice. At this point I'm wasting more turns trying to get pagoda than I'll ever make back from it before I ascend. Grar. Hit level 12.
Stopped at 31 turns and decided to save the rest for opening battlefield tomorrow. Drank all the drinks for another 70+ turns. Banked a total of 110 turns for tomorrow.
Tomorrow: Start war. Do arena, do yossarian, lighthouse, up to fruit stand
Day 12
Semi-rare at 83 or 117
Did bounty at pirates.
Started war. RNG hateses me. Decided to do hippy cuz the frat outfit would replace the weapon slot. Grar.
Did Organic Orchard & Farm as Hippy. Somehow managed to miss semi-rare. Decided to skip Nuns. Did some battlefield. Turned off non-com song. Did lighthouse. Did some more battlefield. Got butt kicked at Junkyard and decided to skip.
Did more battlefield. Unlocked arena. Turned song back on in Ballroom. Went to Haunted Bathroom and summoned guy made of bees to finish arena quest. Did a few more turns of battlefield and called it a day.
Day 13
Bounty at Airship. Semirare lunchbox. RNG was horrible and despite my best efforts, I hit lvl 13.
Finished off war. Threw on a serum of sarcasm and whammied The Man. Got Yellow Moon of Compassion (at least it's one I haven't already got).
Sewered for 2 clovers. Did dessert/oasis. Finished MacGuffin quest.
Banked rest of turns for tomorrow.

Day 14
Bounty at South of the Border. Got gum. Grabbed adder. Grabbed teleportitis from DoD.
Got star gear & digital key & red pixel potions...
Went thru hedge maze. Hit a bottleneck in Tower for black pepper. Traded in 3 clovers in black forest and no pepper. Grr. Tried to get wand from DoD but no go. Did some orc chasm for more clovers. Finally got black pepper.
Couldn't get past the shadow and used up red pixel potions... will need to get more tomorrow (or do scented massage oil for semi-rare)
Day 15
Bounty in Wine Cellar. Picked up scented massage oil.
Farmed a bunch of red pixel potions.
Suicided to NS 5 times. Then killed her on second try with combo of red pixel potion + scented massage oil. (Realized I never used the bunch of macrame nets I had... *headdesk*) Gear was: sugar hat, sugar pants, black kettle staff, kickback cookbook, stainless solitaire, sauce glove, bejeweled pledge pin. Took about 2 normal saucegeysers (or 1 spell crit) hits to kill each aspect of NS.
Broke prism (yay). Then went back to poop deck to unlock volcano. Farmed a bunch of slimes for slime potions. Cooked all 6 tier 3 slime potions.
vermillion = slimeform
Got butt kicked by Lumpy even with a bunch of buffs. Wasted some turns trying to get scarysauce from Library, with no effect. Decided to use the leftover macrame nets instead and killed Lumpy easily *rolleyes*. Oh well.
Considered finishing mushroom quest, but given that the fermented drinks don't sell all that well, decided might as well ascend instead.

Date: 2010-04-02 07:46 am (UTC)I had around 180+ HP when I took on the NS. My basic rule of thumb was at any time I got under 100 HP, I started using red pixel potions until I had a significant buffer over 100 HP. Then I concentrated on damage until I went under 100 HP again.
