KoL - HC - Pastamancer - Day 3

tanithryudo*squints* I did get the right day today, right?
So, Mysticality Day!! Of course, I already met my level goals and need to work on meat goals, but who'd turn down free stats?
Grabbed the DRINK ME potion, grabbed Mental-A-cue-ity pool table buff and the Hustlin' pool table buff. Popped the one bittersweet tarts I had, and 2 piddles (since I'll be too busy using mana to summon the noodles/cocktail/tome stuff I have). After the first 10 rounds and the pool table buffs wore off, threw on another bittersweet tart that popped in the mean time, and a polka pop.
RNG smiled on me today! Got 3 dragon snaps, 2 donuts, 1 lily's milk, 2 pistils, and a powdered wig!! *dances* Also, got to level 6 within 15 rounds. o_O ...I was getting like 25 Myst substats per mob.
But, apparently these mobs don't drop meat, so I was still poor. Thus, with the moxie buff from Hatter, decided to hit up Goblin Treasury. 29 turns later, I had enough to fund the oven and entangling noodles, with 3k left over. Elite goblin pants (+3 moxie!) Then with the last turn, decided to take out Von Ratsisface, since I don't need the tavern for money anymore. Got the monocle.
Drank gourd potion. Barreled for drinks. Made & ate 3 boring spaghetti. Drank the semi-rare wine from yesterday. Got back about 40 turns... o_O Considered and went for the bat hole bounty. Mmm... lucre.
Mixed 3 advanced cocktails. Drank 2 and 2 fine wine for ~25 more turns. Went to cemetary and opened up fernswarthy. Popped 2 polka pops and went to fernswarthy. Got 1 disembodied brain! Also picked up Manual of Transmission.
Checked the quest log and realized that killing the rat boss doesn't finish the tavern quest. Did that and picked up shiny ring and 3 tavern swills. Those will do nicely for tomorrow's drinks. Decided to make one of those into an umbrella drink for extra myst stats on the nightcap.
Spent remaining turns in guano junction with polka pop trying to unlock boss bat chambers. Have 1 sonar biscuit to go. Drank nightcap. Picked up last buff from pool table for tomorrow. Did klaw 3 times and got nothing. Tried the crimbo tree and got a Red Rover BB gun which then sold for 500 meat. Called it a night.

Meat goals bylevel 7 the time I gather the items to make chefstaff: 7k (spirit of rigatoni) + 1.5k (stirring stick) + 300 (mmj)
Secondary meat goals: 2.5k (5 shore trips) + 4k cookbook + 6k (fusilli) + 4k cannon + 5k mushroom fields
In other words, definitely going to farm boss bat chambers for meat.
Hopefully, will get 1 or 2 snaps from DRINK ME to get my moxie to base 30 for the stainless pants, and if I can get an eye of the lily, that would save me the cost of a cookbook until later.
Whitey's grove is unlocked, so will probably go there to get some herb drops, hippy outfit, and staff components, while buffed with Hatter's buff. Will try not to actually finish the quest though.
Oh yeah, will need to get a smart skull to build the meat maid too.

Date: 2010-03-14 01:51 am (UTC)They key is to always take the turns to generate the better food that will return more turns than you spent. So that means advanced cocktailcrafting as much as possible, and making noodles when possible.
Also, remember 3 of my drinks were semi-rares.
The sugar tome definitely helps, in that it gives a good mana regen gear early on to allow me to start stocking cocktail items from day 1, so I don't end up with no items to match the day's barrel drinks. Also, with the mimic as the main familiar, I can alot more of the sheets to be used as hat, thus allowing me to push back completion of the epic gear quests until, say, after I get free access to hermit. -_-
