KoL - HC - Pastamancer - Day 1

tanithryudoFor once I didn't ascend right before rollover for the extra turns, as I wanted another shot at the SHC still to convert my remaining sake to higher selling versions. Also managed to squeeze a semi-rare to stick in the mall. Then, hopped the gash and played a 40 turn start for the first time. :)
So, Day 1 Log:
Main goal had been to reach level 4, or at least see if I could, which meant using the Crimbo PRESSIE (volley-type) the whole way. With 1 and a half sugar shields, of course.
The remaining sugar shield I changed into a sugar hat for the early DA and the MP regen. This allowed me to eventually make all 5 casts of cocktails. I did manage to get a wine spritzer from the barrels, so I was able to make a horizontal tango for tomorrow. (Umbrella drink means myst stats!)
Grabbed the pretentious artist quest right off the bat, in prep for the tavern. Hit the alley and managed to also get harold's bell for bats, but only got 1 spider web (may need to farm for more tomorrow to get a meat skirt). At cobb's outskirts, got the encryption key but no chef's hat. Managed to unlock the manor, but not enough can lids for a gourd potion. Ah well. Wore the pail as hat (30 power, 10 DA) when not trying to regen MP with sugar hat.
Hit the kitchen for some mediocre foods and the must have Pastamancer stuff. Ate/drank some dire fudgesicles, accidental cider, fricasseed brains, stale baguettes, and cooking sherry. Managed to avoid having to drink mad train wine (do NOT want to see that back on the fav drink slot). Found scintillating powder and summoned the Spice Ghost (Yay!). Picked up a shiny butcherknife.
Hit the forest for the level 2 quest. Managed to get larva on the third turn (the first 2 being the 3-fork path non-com that netted me some spices). Kept going in hopes of doing today's bounty. Managed to unlock the temple and got 2-3 of those 300 meat non-coms, but no bounty drop. Blah. Dropped the bounty in disgust.
Hit the barrels for some better drinks and sellable spleen items; ate some more kitchen foods. Got myself all full and to 14 drunk.
Buffed up myst with Manicotti Meditation and completed the first two guild challenges (remembered to not sell the pills this time :P). Failed the third. Created and untinkered the meat car. Decided not to buy any skills yet.
Hit the tavern with the remaining turns to level up. Killed rats with the spaghetti spear attack (wearing sugar hat for MP regen after casting the last cocktail items). Cleared the first 3 rows and managed to pick up a ducha de oro (another umbrella drink!) from the rats.
Managed to hit lvl 4 with just 1 turn left! Drank the ducha de oro as a nightcap. Spice ghost is level 3. Have 4 spices total, and 2.6k (after buying cocktail kit and other expenses).
Tomorrow:
Goal is to hit lvl 5 and make enough meat to buy pastamancy & 5 shore trips.
Will try to pick up a semirare food item - either tarts or lunchbox (probably tarts since I'm in better shape for drinks, but it'll probably depend). That will take 2 fullness from fortune cookies.
Planning to farm 3 more spider webs for meat skirt. May or may not go back and grab two more can lids for a gourd potion (and maybe pick up some tomatoes on the side) to save for stat day on the night after next. Will clear out the rest of tavern to find out where the faucet and boss are.
Will probably spend the rest of the time farming the rabbit hole for food (prior to getting lvl 5) and buffs. 2 drink me potions should be more than enough. Likely, will only have enough turns for 1.
In other news, feeling kind of meh about playing the sauceror today. Maybe I"m just tired.
