tanithryudo: (Release)

I've setup mushclient to automatically log to file whenever I log in. So I have pretty complete logs of my entire time on Dreams. Only thing missing was the first first session through the mud school b/c I played that on my work computer (for some reason it wouldn't let me create an account/char from my home computer).

Check 'em out here

The last entry on the 19th includes when I went through their X-Files area, which was kinda neat. Also a good representation of the fact that you don't have to grind to level there if you don't want to (I walked in there a level 40 and came out level 45).

My comp did crash twice near the end of that log, but I don't think anything important was lost.

Anyway, I'll need to do some shopping for this week this morning. Might be on GW or MUD this afternoon.

Some questions:

1. So, hero is better than the third tier of the other classes?

2. Prismatic seems to be a randomized elemental attack/breath whatever. So the good thing is that it condenses 7 skills into one skill. The con is that it's random. So, from what it looks like, it seems Mag is a more precise damager and Psi is...more...actually I have no idea what kind of role a Psi would play.

3. In short, it doesn't matter what primary you have because you could, theoretically, buy all the skills. So the question then becomes, start with Psi or Mag?

1. Recommendation made to me is that to do the first tier3 on your primary and then do the hero as tier3 when you buy a full remort set. If you don't plan to buy more remort after tier3 then go with hero instead.

2. Mage = high single target damage, Psi = high mass damage? Though ultrablast is only tier2 so I guess if you want damage you should go mage/psi. Psi tier3 seems to be a mish-mash of high self heal, random debuff, and miscellany.

3. Well, skills are more "expensive" to buy the higher tier they are, so I guess when you compare classes you should be comparing their tier3 skills and see which set you want (and isn't in the hero set).

1. So, I guess the final question is...will I even get to tier 3. :p

2. So what does death field do? I assume it's a mass damage?

3. Mag vs. Psi tier 3 comparison below:

Mage skills not in the hero set: remove alignment | frost breath | acid breath | dispel evil | gas breath | enflame weapon | nexus | lightning breath | aura sight | cone of silence | polymorph other | change sex | awe

Psionist skills not in hero set: complete healing | death field | psychic reading | scry | meditate | confusion | prismatic spray

However, I'd like to point out that none of the Psi tier 3 skills are in the Hero set, while 1 of the Mag tier 3 skill is in the hero set (acid blast). Furthermore, there are two skills in the Mag tier 3 set (also not covered in Hero set) that are redundant with Psi tier 2 skills (awe, aura sight). But on the other hand, Mages have just more spells total over Psionists. So.

Which one? ;_;

xxxx breath:
These spells are for the use of dragons. Acid, fire, frost, and lightning damage one victim, whereas gas damages every PC in the room. Fire and frost can break objects, and acid can damage armor.

complete healing
This mindbender spell restores full HP to the caster and has a slight chance of failing.

meditate - regen mana faster

death field = field of shadows (or whatever it was) from Chaos... instakill all lowbie mobs in the room with you

psychic reading - useless
scry - not as good as nexus

Up to you which set you want...

Hrm. From the sound of things, Mag/Psi sounds like a way better combo than Psi/Mag, if only for the multiple breath skills. Of course, damaging armor means less loot. :p

But tier 1 Psi has a way easier level than tier 1 Mag. But that's probably a good thing since you kinda wanna speed through remorts. *nodnod*

I think Mag/Psi it is! Now...once I have some time, I'll get into the game. =.=
