GW: Need advice on shopping...

tanithryudoBecause we all know the #1 thing I care about in Guild Wars is teh pretteh. And, since my ranger is lvl 20 and my elementalist is getting there, and my funds are limited, I'm going to need some advice on what to get...
Let's start with the Elementalist:
Basic styles come in the Shing Jea, Canthan, and Ascalon styles.
Newly created characters start off with the Shing Jea set of their chosen colors, so I have an example of my character in her starting set. The current set of lower level armor is in the Canthan style though it's the default gray color. (Note: Coloring the armor will involve buying and mixing dyes, and that takes extra money I'm not willing to shell out until I have a set of armor I know I'm going to stick with.) At level 20, I will have additional access to the Krytan and Tyrian styles.
Later on in the game (if I ever get that far), there are also the Luxon and Kurzick styles. And if I ever beat the game, there is the Ascended Canthan, Kurzick, and Luxon styles.
And for the Ranger:
These are the lvl 20 standard stuff: Shing Jea, Canthan, Ascalon, Tyrian, Krytan. Then we have the standard Kurzick and Luxon styles. And finally the endgame Ascended Canthan, Kurzick, and Luxon styles.
Now, given the amount of money I have now and what I will have when my Elementalist can hit the lvl 20 shops (she's only 1 quest away, technically), I have barely enough money now for a full set of the non-Ascended lvl 20 stuff.
On a pure functional level, I suppose the Elementalist doesn't actually *need* an armor upgrade since she's not supposed to be tanking/taking hits as much as the Ranger, and also since she has a monk secondary and thus good healing abilities. So I can afford to wait until later in the game for the Luxon/Kurzick or even the Ascended stuff. While the ranger does need the extra armor since she doesn't have good self healing and largely relies on henchmen and her HP/AC to get by, so I'm not sure I can wait to get the Kurzick/Luxon stuff. On the other hand... I'm not actually that certain I'll ever get that far into the game since some of the later missions/quests seem rather difficult.
On an aesthetics level...
I think of the Elementalist stuff, the Krytan and Shing Jea sets are some of the best of the bunch. The Kurzick style is nice, but IMO it looks a lot like the Shing Jea set. Of it all I like the Ascended Canthan style the best but that's a far off dream as far as I'm concerned. So my two possible routes are to either go for my final set of armor now, or stick with what I have without upgrading until I get to Kurzick/endgame.
For the ranger, I definitely like the Luxon/Ascended Luxon styles the best, but again I'm not sure I can get there, especially if I don't upgrade in the interim. But of the other lvl 20 stuff... Iono, none of them really strikes my fancy. So I guess a second opinion on what looks good for the ranger styles would be nice.
And while I'm at it, I might as well throw in a couple of screenies of my Elementalist. These were taken when she was still lowbie.
And yes, that is featuring the Kuunavang minipet that came with the Collector's Edition. I did end up getting it. *cough*
And also, note that the Elementalist "headgear" is apparently an aura... You can imagine how much damage it can actually block. -_-
