tanithryudoSo I bought Guild Wars: Factions. And aside from some beginner's stupidity that I won't mention here, it's been a pretty good game. So as cashew was poking me for, I'm putting up some screenshots from yesterday.
My character is a Ranger/Mesmer. (Mesmer being the equivalent of psionist.)
1. Random battle scene. I'm still using the ugly starters bow. The henchman in front of me is the Monk, and the other henchman beyond that is the Elementalist (mage). *is jealous of the prettier costumes*
2. Dead mob dropping gold. And a front view of my pet tiger.
3. More shooting at stuff...
4. Character without the face mask thingy
5. Talking to NPC
6. Soloing with just the tiger
7. Trying on some pretty wands and staves that... well, don't really go with the Ranger getup, do they? :p
8. Finally a new bow that looks less chunky than the starter bow.
9. Random pic where I ended the fight in a position next to the Monk. I thought it looked kinda cool... yuri-ish, but pretty. :p
10. The random water buffalo!
11. Behold the uber range of my longbow! Note that neither me nor the mob I'm attacking (name showing on screen in red) have pretty much moved since the fight started. Also, note that the faint circle that can be seen in the compass map (upper right corner) outlines the range in which aggro mobs "see" me. So the longbow can basically snipe at mobs comfortably outside of the aggro range. Of course, the henchman magic users have to cast spells from just at their aggro range.
12. Another range comparison. I found the 0XP thing kinda funny, since I was under the impression that most mobs didn't generate didly in XP anyway. I'm only here for the loot. :p
13. Main menu screen. Yeah the face gear looks sucky. But if I wanted the stats on it there wasn't much of a choice.

15. One of the amusing advanced ranger training quests. I love Sujun (one of the Ranger trainers), he's so hippie and he has a pet panda. That he uses to track things. Cuz it certainly doesn't jump into fights like my tiger. But it's cute... I want a panda. *pouts*
