Audio problems...
May. 27th, 2007 12:45 pmAs cashew might remember, the last time she was over we were watching DVD's on my computer and there was a choppy quality to the audio. Recently I've noticed the same problems when listening to CDs with my computer. The audio works fine for mp3's, whether on my harddrive or on a CD, but it gets choppy when the music was burned onto the CD as an audio CD... which doesn't make sense if it was a problem with the sound or my speakers.
Anyway, after poking through every single setting on my media player and control panel that's related to audio settings, and doing a patch scrub through the Microsoft database in case I missed something, I think I got it fixed. At least for Windows Media Player.
Media Player > Tools > Options > Devices > Audio CD > Properties > check Use Error Correction
Unfortunately CD's are still playing choppy on VLC. What's the equivalent audio configuration panel there? Anyone know?
