Read Vizpuri 8 today...

I think the Engligh translation of Prince of Tennis needs its own moniker. And continuity, preferably. Something like "Vizpuri" should have as little to do with the actual Tenipuri manga (or anime) as possible.

...That's because I've had the rather unpleasant experience of seeing the Golden Pair refer to one another as "Dude", and Tachibana referring to Ishida-kun as... "Hadokyo", as if that's the guy's name. It's just too painful for words. I need to go read Tenipuri fanfics and fan-translations now to scrub my brain out.

Oh, and just as another note, Harry Potter comes out tomorrow. I suppose I'm expected to post a rant analysis um... post about it tomorrow or so.

You know you're dysfunctional when you try to check out Storm Clouds for the lvl 100 orb and find yourself fleeing from fights despite being 5-10 levels above the place... while two lvl 48 guys are getting their xp by slaughtering there. Ok, granted, they're dying quite often, but still... =_=

BTW, can you use a shield? The orc sentry at Firetop has a shield that gives mana 50, ac -10, and dex 1. (And of course I would find a bow and arrow at firetop. Despite being over 100 lvls short of being a ranger. It's like they just want me to wibble about my specialization.) There's also another underground river at Firetop that we might try... maybe... okay, you might try. I used up 3 bottles of cure poison before I even got to it.

Still also undecided about making a new character and if so what. Maybe I should change my title to "the Indecisive".

Addendum: Looks like I'm gonna have to pick the specialization sooner than I'd thought. Why is it that it's always when I'm logged on that the Avatar blessing hits. Oh, btw, we/you need to hunt at Blueberries when you get back. They give ~200k xp *each*. I killed one under avatar and got tripled xp for over 750k... which leveled me to 100, incidentally. Unfortunately, they're not fruits I can mass kill alone under avatar. Nearly died before I recalled. :p

InuKai tibits...

Firstly, I came across this screencap when skimming through LJ communities. My first thought was "OMG! What is that poster on Inui's wall!" I mean, doesn't it *look* like a certain other character we know who does a lot of arm swinging in shorts and tank top? *cough* My second thought was like "no wonder Inui couldn't invite his kouhai into his bedroom without having to do a LOT of explaining", before I realized that I was thinking of Psidai again.

Speaking of which, note to self: need to update the Psidai homepage with the fics written since the last update.

Secondly, I was referred to this fic. Now, it's not exactly a rec, but the contents of it (written by an author who apparently does know at least a bit of Japanese) seem to suggest just what Inui's Distansu singles was about. Of course, I'm getting the impression that the radio bit at the beginning was Inui getting distracted by a radio advice service giving out advice to a mail from someone pseudo-named 'bandanna' or something. ...And of course my first thought also went to Psidai. That is, the message board monikers. Yeah, we know where my mind's at. :p

And also... MILK?!? WTH? Did Inui come out with a new singles or something? ...and...dedicated to milk. Sang with Kaidoh & Echizen. Er... what's Kaidoh doing in a song about milk... and/or why's Echizen in a InuKai duet? o_O
