Okay, I need to take care of some things on both sides. So I'm just gonna jot down some of the ideas that have been free floating around my head all this time.

On the much-languished side with the Search for Locke (:p), I need to get us out of Helheim, since we're kinda stuck there, both in the story and in terms of writer's block. Now, my current thought is to (somehow) have us end up in an afterlife world where we can easily get to other afterlife realms and then come back... so sort of like a hub in the after-life highway. A couple of ideas for that would be:

But to get to those goals in the first place, we have to finish up in Helheim, and I have no idea how to write the MU Hela... so I guess she'll just have to be a little OOC.

Meanwhile, Mg wants to continue his side of the storyarc on Middle-earth... which means I probably should have something in place in case he goes nutso and tries to kill everyone. I certainly do *not* want at least the major characters there to be killed off.

more on the ME side of the equation )

I've got a rough ideas of some of the other realms we'll need to visit after we get past the current hurdle, as well as the order in which we ought to visit them in. But that's still a long ways away from the current state of affairs. I'll worry about them later.

What can I say? The mood just struck me. :p

Okay, this time I have four new userpics from RG Veda - 3 pics of Kendappa and 1 of Souma. Also went through my archive of China/Chinese-related pics. Made one userpic of an anime-ish rendition of Ne Zha, and another from an artwork of Jing Yong's Xiao Long Nü (trans: Little Dragon Girl) from the novel Shen Diao Xia Lü.

Update: Saw the following quiz on [insanejournal.com profile] cashew's latest entry... I don't agree with my results either, but I guess that's what you get for a 3-question quiz.

You are a descriptive writer. An avid reader of
Robert Frost, perhaps, you LOVE to use flowery
words and use the paper and pen as your canvas
and paintbrush. You prefer to paint a mental
image rather than simply toy around with
people's minds. A very inspired person, you
love to be in nature and usually are a very
outdoorsy type of person. A writer with a
natural green thumb, perhaps?

I finished making a Calendar page and a Day View page for [insanejournal.com profile] ossian. The Calendar page uses a background with Minas Tirith and the Day View page uses the other Aragorn background. Both are currently stored on the Cal webdisk server for now - just click the links to go there. The ID# for the Calendar page is 74920 and the ID# for the Day View page is 74875. They should both be tagged public.

The last page for the complete Aragorn/Elessar themeset would of course be a Strider pic for teh Friends page. I have two possible backgrounds lined up for that one... the first one, and the second one. Tell me which one you like better, m'kay?

(Update: The second one it is!)

Arg! And just when I got my next story post figured out. *glares at CBR* Stupid server... and we shelled out money for it too. Hmph. Oh well, I guess I'll just write up a rough draft of my post here, in the grand tradition of journal-using fic writers everywhere.

When last we left off: Our party was gathered at the root of Yggdrasil intersecting Helheim, and was prepared to climb (or fly) our way up aaallll the way to Asgard. (Which actually isn't that far, since the MU Asgard is right above NYC, so we'd only have to reach the Midgard plane, really.)
