New MUD is up
May. 15th, 2006 03:40 pmLooks like mostly the ability changes were made to the tank classes. Necs actually got downgraded a lil which is nice to see.
Highlights: Back to 3 char grouping. Sanc is available for buying at the doctors (though it's charged based on lvl, and costs 200k for legends).
EDIT: Also, Tulku has left word that he's going to play the tank classes a bit for a few days but will be making further changes. Bards are next on the list and possibly rangers and other utils. He's also planning on looking at the races too.

Here's the changes I can think of off the top
of my head....
website is now chaosmud.genesismuds.com
- vampires can drink vodka
- knights : better ac, shield of honor can block
from you (yes you can be rescued if needed)
- shapechangers: ac improved on forms substantially
- shapechangers: somatic awakening, automatic skill
that boosts your psychic healing spell based on
level
- shapechangers: coil is a rescue, stun
- nightblade: ac improved
- nightblade: cauldron of shadows is a blind/heal
- pugilist: ac improved in later levels
- shapechangers: beholder form replaces manticore
instead shift allows you to assume a form in battle
as well as shift
- hospital: doctor sanc will give you sanc
cost is based upon your level
- 3 character limit is allowed
- nightblade: farsight is no more
- reaver: help file is not in but abstract
concentration is the same as targeting
dispellable
ignore that :)
- priest: body of god and health are no longer
dispellable
- shapechanger: purge spell is no more
- necromancer: undead guardian reduced to
80% damage it formerly did
- neutral characters : not assisted on as much
until they are 15 levels above mob
- all characters: mobs don't assist
(unless special mobs) until you are 15 levels above
the mob
(neutral characters still get assisted on less)

- knight: campaign also prevents mobs from
switching from the knight to the group
(yes you can be rescued to get out of it)

As we can see: Sammy, Euterpe, and Trippy are all on the new stat board... :p
