So I bought a new computer today...

Compaq PC. 64-bit Athlon. About 3-something GHz processor. And best of all comes with Windows installed so I don't have to reinstall the darn thing for the nth time.

About $750 total including the 3 year warranty. Not as bad as I'd feared...

We'll see how it goes.
