Looks like I rejoiced too soon about getting my computer working/installed again. Not a day later, my wireless goes kaput. And it's a problem that's happened before - that is, the darned thing works for every computer in the house *except* mine. Uninstalling and reinstalling it doesn't seem to work, and seems to randomly change some Windows setting every time we try something.
So now I can only access internet via my laptop again. No access to my computer unless I want to write data to CD and then bring it over to laptop and vice-versa... hella hassle. I should invest in a simple USB compact flash device for more convenience in moving files, now that floppy disks and zip disks are obsolete and CD-R's are a hassle to accumulate unless I want to keep the data on CD.
Tomorrow, I'm going to try the WinXP repair from the installation disk and then reinstalling wireless again to see if that'll work. Otherwise, it looks like I'm going to have to reinstall the freaking Windows all over again and start over from scratch. Gyah!
