Status of computer overhaul

So we got a new harddrive and are doing the installation dance on my computer.

Times Windows installation was run: 5 (and counting)
Times I've gotten the blue screen of death: 2 (so far)


Settings to configure:
* Chinese language options
* Desktop/shortcuts

Programs to install to get computer working:
* Windows (in progress?)
* Hardware setup (audio/network/etc.)
* Internet connection

Programs to install tomorrow (technically today now), in vague order:
* Symantec Security
* Zonealarm
* Mozilla Firefox
* Spyware programs (Adware, Spybot)
* Java Environment (not sure if this comes with anything...)
* Macromedia Flash (though most plug-ins I can't handle will prompt me to update anyhow)
* Media Player (+ XP codex)
* Real Player
* MS Office
* Winzip / WinRAR
* Adobe products (Acrobat, Photoshop, etc.)
* Mushclient

Programs I may or may not reinstall or may wait to install when needed (haven't used them much):
* Bittorrent / eMule (since I'm not gonna have time to do overnight downloads anytime soon)
* AIM
* Chinese Star (mostly cuz I'll need to find the working disk again)


Someone remind me if I left off anything that I need to install.

(Also, am currently using my work laptop hooked up to the ethernet at home to log online. Thank god I have all my recent bookmarks and semi-current MUD files saved online. But my poor fics... T_T)
