Someone on the FET forums who apparently reads Japanese gave this explanation (and interpretation) of Fuji's 4th counter:

When I said tracing the path..

The Habu shot flies all over the place right? Well, Fuji's racquet just follows the same path of the Habu as it is going forward and in doing so, all the crazy spin of the ball gets neutralised for some strange reason.

The ball is returned with no spin and no power... but for some reason, the other Higa player said, the ball seems so close, yet he can't reach it...

*my thoughts*
Since it is a dragonfly/mayfly, it may be like trying to hit it with something but yet it mangaes to fly away in the last instance. Eg. have you guys tried to hit a fly with a rolled up newspaper or something? whenever you try to hit it, it can just fly away at the last incident....

My interpretation of the 4th Counter is like this, the ball just flys off the moment you try to hit it.. even though it has no power or no spin...

Someone else replied with:

as for the insane explananaion... maybe its possible (possible for Fuji!) since that the ball has no spin or power, its put into some crazy floating anti-gravity thing, and the slightest movement towards it will change its path. The wind force that is infront of the racket pushes the ball away before contact is made. - Raiji

OMG, don't tell me it's the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle applied to *tennis*! >_<
