Tenipuri reference misc.
Mar. 28th, 2005 02:24 amListing of Japanese prefectures. Seigaku & Hyotei are in the Tokyo prefecture, Rokkaku is in the Chiba prefecture, and Rikkai is in the Kanagawa prefecture.
Full names of some Seigaku extras:
Horio Satoshi
Katou Kachirou
Mizuno Katsuo
Osakada Tomoko
Arai Masashi
Ikeda Masaya
Hayashi Daisuke
Shitenhouji Info:
Shitenhouji is a new rival school in Osaka, Kansai-Ben. They're a fairly laid back school, from what I've heard, so I'm thinking something Rokkaku-like in personalities.
The team:

The blonde with the tousled hair in the middle is Oshitari Kenya. He and Yuushi have talked on the phone in the manga regarding Kanto/Nationals, so they obviously know each other well and are on familiar terms.
The tall guy in front with the open shirt and messy hair is Chitose, who used to be the #1 player in Kyuushuu to Tachibana's #2. He's rumored to be the only one besides Sanada and Yukimura that can control his 'awakened state' (and now also Echizen and maybe Kirihara are on that list).
There is also a first year tensai on the team, who had a 3-chapter intro.

The guy with the bandage on his arm is Shiraishi Kuranosuke, the buchou.
Manga speculation: The buchou is #1 seed, Chitose #2, the ichinen tensai #3, and Oshitari on doubles.
Or, it could be that the captain isn't as good as the best players. So Chitose is #1, the ichinen #2, and so on. (This would suit the Psidai fic better.)
Dates and Times:
The ranking matches just before the Kanto took place in June, according to the role sheet shown in the anime. Momo's birthday, which occurs after Kanto, is in late July. So Kanto goes from mid/late-June to early July (since there wasn't a July ranking match - though the anime Kanto finals was delayed for a week). Then the Jr. Senbatsu takes place in late July.
The nationals take place in early-mid August, after the ranking matches, and lasts for about 4 days straight (Sun-Wed?).
