PoT xovers on the brain...

I was reading up on what's been happening in the newest issues of PoT on the FET forums and dang... what's with all the refs to other manga series'?
So apparently the name of Higa's (the first school Seigaku is playing) coach is Saotome Harumi. Apparently he's very violent and tried to "crunch ryuuzaki's face". Not to mention his team tried to smack Ryuuzaki-sensei with the ball too, even though she wasn't even saying anything like Rokkaku's Oji was. What is it with these kids? Were they abused by old guys when they were young or something? I really hope Seigaku creams the 5-0.
Also, one of the Rokkaku players in the second match has a move called "shukuchi"... shades of Soujirou from Rurouni Kenshin, anyone? It was apparently used to break the Higuma Otoshi (again). So rumors are now that Fuji's gonna have to break out the 4th counter.
In other news, the second match is D2 with Fuji and Taka. Yes, they're making Fuji-Taka play again despite their dismal record (forfeit to Fudomine and a loss to, uh...which was the other one again? Yamabuki) Maybe they'll actually win for once? Hm...
Also, it's apparent that the order of the matches at the nationals goes S3-D2-S2-D1-S1. Now I have the mental image of the GP-Silver Pair fiasco in the Psidai-verse plus Mukahi's previous temper causing a month-long delay in the last game... between Tezuka and Atobe. The two buchous must be itching to play and irritated at not being able to. But Fuji is probably hoping that the last game would be postphoned indefinitely. :p
