Yeah, I have no clue about tablet quality since I've been using the old Samsung Tab S1(?) from back in 2010s and haven't gotten a new one and probably won't be getting a new one anytime soon.
Wirecutter recommends Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 if that's any help.
The problem with some of the cheaper tablets is that the processing speeds are real shit in terms of actual performance, even with low-demand apps, so that's something to keep in mind.

Tom's Guide recommends Saumsung's A-series (specifically the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7).
