I'm not sure, they didn't cover engi on the latest livestream demo either, so I only have the short intro video to go by, and that didn't tell me much. So not sure if it's a ranger style pet or a necro style minion. Going by some of the comments on reddit, it sounds like it might be ranger style pet, since the gyros are already like necro minions. So. Yeah...
