LOL the Frozen look is accidental. The blond hair is a high ranked wig I got early on. The brown hair is actually the baseline character hair I designed through the customizer. The first arc of the game takes place in France on the eve of the French Revolution, so most of the dresses I have right now are the grand ballgown type of that era. These two are actually the tamer dresses I currently have. Like, here's the starter dress...
I don't think 2D is going to be replaced by 3D for games any time soon. For one thing, the cost and time to create 3D assets way outstrips 2D, which means they have to charge more and slow down progress. That means if the game is more focused on gameplay, it's not really worth it to go 3D.
And even with graphics based games, I mean, Love Nikki and its like still has the advantage of being able to churn out lots more designs at a faster rate, offering smaller charges of money at a higher rate. While DUTP has to fish for bigger whales with this slower but higher quality art.
Also with 3D you have to worry way more about testing, since clipping can come from any angle now when you spin the model around and... I mean, just look at GW2's problems with that even though that's not a dedicated fashion game.
