Well, my comments were mostly about the fanon depictions of TOS!Spock and how two of the major traits fanon attributes to him are completely made up and lacking any support in canon.
nuSpock I think is *supposed* to be more in touch with his human side and able to get along with humans better than TOS!Spock, with the "proof" of this being his relationship with Uhura. At least, I believe that's how the writers wanted it to be. Of course, these are the same writers who think being human and relateable is synonymous to being a huge jerk (see nuKirk), so they haven't done nuSpock any favors in his re-characterization either.
