So I was looking at my credit card account today and I noticed that the reward points I'd accumulated was...quite high. There's enough to get a new nook, or Office 2010, or a Win7 upgrade (family pack). Enough for a low end tablet computer but not enough for an entire laptop, alas. I wish I'd checked this before I bought my new widescreen monitor last month; it would've saved me a few hundred dollars.

Not sure what to get though... I'm currently still running WinXP and Office 2000 on my home system. I'm not sure now is a good time to upgrade from XP, though, since XP is still considered a major stable release... And I don't actually use Office much though, since I have a current version available on my more powerful work computer. Besides, there's also OpenOffice, which I've been meaning to try out some time.

Choices, choices...

Well, in my experience, Win7 has been fairly stable and works just fine in terms of software. And the aero style windows is very glassy and pretty and shiny. Office 2010 is only really for those who need to do ridiculous office work at home (aka yours truly -.-), so if it's just for personal writing purposes, open office and scrivner are much better choices.
