I finally picked up my new glasses today. When I put it on, I was amazed at the sheer non-difference from my original glasses. There was hardly any notable difference between the two of them, seeing-wise.

Considering I've had that set for years now, I'm rather amazed at how worse I *haven't* gotten. I might put it down to my new LED computer monitor being better for the eyes... but that wouldn't explain all those hours upon hours of working on regular lab computers at school and the 8-hours-per-day of workstations at Intel.

In retrospect, I guess I didn't really need this new set of glasses to be able to see well. However, it's just as well I did get it, because my old glasses were beginning to chafe at my face where the metal at the bottom of the frame would come in contact with my face/cheeks. The new pair is a half-frame, so the bottom is just poly/plastic, not metal, which hopefully will get rid of that minor rash that has been irritating me.
