Finished the front page!

Wow, that was fast. Granted, I'm still not too sure about the color scheme, but this is the best match I've come up with so far. Stupid HTML color codes. Also not happy still with the mood boxes. But since there's no way to change the format of the "currents" values, I guess there's not much I can do about it.

Hm... it also occurs to me that I should get some Kenshin-themed userpics to go with the theme. Maybe I'll do that next. Either that or redo the Friends page with the Disjointed style so that it will match the front page and the calendar page. We'll see...

I think the hardest part about this page, aside from the color scheme, was deciding on the background. I ended up deciding between this one and a Battousai wallpaper pic. But I went with this one, 'cause Kenshin's cuter in it. Wai Wai! *glomp* ^_^

So I've got one more page left to make the complete design for... and that would be the Day View page. Not sure which character I'm gonna feature for that yet. I just know cashew is gonna call for a Sano page, but I'm leaning more towards a Saitou page... Hrm.

Meanwhile, it's off to lunch for me!

Icons! Icons! Icons!

I've pretty much depopulated my picture archives of faeries, sprites, and pixies onto my userpic collection. And here they be. Well that should be enough for me to use for a while.

I think I'll finish up my fantasy pictures... pictures featuring women, anyhow... And then I'll go onto my huge anime collection. I think I'll leave pictures of animals, fantasy creatures, scenery, and so on to later, if at all.

What I don't like about GJ

I really dislike the "default" setting for the userpics that's practically everywhere. I really don't. For one thing, I have to specifically set the userpic choice from default every time I make a new entry, or else whenever I change my default userpic, all of the entries that are set to default also changes. Which means they all stay the same. Bleh. The whole point of changing pics is so they're different. *grumble*

But my own journal entries are still changeable. And while I've only a relatively few entries, they're not a huge pain to go back and edit anyhow. What really gets on my nerves is that I have to change the userpic setting away from default everytime I reply to an entry, whether my own or someone else's. And those I can't go back and edit. >_<

The most annoying thing is that I always forget to. Always. It's probably gonna take me a long while before I get in the habit of doing so, but I feel like it's such a bother for me to have to forge a new habit. *hrmph*

Okay. Rant over. I think I'll go read some smut fics to make myself feel better.
