I also find it interesting that for all that 七侠五义 has more of the fantasy-wuxia flavor to it, 包青天 is the show where every other miniseries has paranormal stuff like ghosts and voodoo and spirits and signs from heaven in it.
Also, attempts to characterize 包公 in BQT? Not working for me. Especially since most mini's pretty much cast him in monotone, so to speak, and ignoring the bad pun in there.
BQT-version 展昭 actually does sometimes resemble the 75-version one. Well, except he pulls rank more often; guess you do get smarter with age. :p
