  Bards, though not known for their prophetic powers, have long 
preached a tale told in mythology that predicted that the world is
soon coming to an end. While most Bards are just ignored when they 
bring this up as if they were babbling fools, a few, the most 
powerful, can actually get people to listen.
  Through the power of their voices, they sing a song that tells
this tale of the world ending in the most violent, fearful ways
imaginable, and those listening often begin to feel as if it has
already happened to them, to the point of taking severe damage from
within their own delusions.

  This spell will open a swirling vortex to another character. When
cast, a vortex appears in the caster's room and the room of his
victim. For the length of the spell, anyone can then pass through
either vortex to go to the other side. To enter the vortex simply
type 'enter'. When two or more vortexes are in the same room, you
can look in each (Syntax: look in vortex, look in 2.vortex) vortex
to determine which one you need to enter. To enter a second vortex,
type: enter 2.vortex. This only works from PC to PC.

  Using a certain pitch, a Bard can make their music so potent as to
actually manipulate ones emotions. This can an effective technique
when fighting. Using the 'Tale Of Pygmalion', a song so potent that
all from the kindest, gentlest creature, to the strongest beast and
cruelest monster feel compelled to empathize.  A Bard can actually
cause his enemy to feel as if it were THEY in the song, causing
actual physical damage to whomever this song is directed toward.

  The rhyme of defense is a powerful incantation known only by the
most famous or infamous of Bards.  Invoking this ancient incantation
the Bard is able to surround everyone in his party with a defensive
shield that protects against attacks of both the physical and magical
nature.

  Using an ancient song which plays upon some of the deepest ingrained
emotions, a Bard can inspire his or her group to feel luckier, and
more capable of making their enemies miss, effectively lowering their
armor class.

while battling them. Stronger-willed victims usually resume the attack,
while the more dim-witted kind tend to wander off, forgetting the
whole incident.

  The charm of Bards' music has found its way not just into the 
hearts of mortals. When a Bard dies on earth, the whole high heaven
is shaken. Angels and even Gods mourn the death of one who has
brought the beauty of music to the world. As the Bard's heart stops
beating, they all sing in a somber chorus to honor him for the last
time. To the mortals, it sounds as though the heavens are themselves
breaking into a melody so grievous, everyone is deeply shaken and the
creature that killed the Bard is left stunned with what it has just
done. Not all the creatures are so sensitive though.

  Bards, being who and what they are, at times can tend to drone on
and on about the same things. A Bard can, at times, go into a VERY
long, VERY boring lecture on virtually anything.
  Knowing this about themselves, the Bards turned it to their own
use, as an effective battle strategy. Often-times, in the middle
of a fight, a Bard may break into one of their lectures, with the
affect of actually boring the enemy so badly, he sits there stunned
for a while.

  One of the most powerful and famous men in history, a man by the
name of Meridian once expressed his grief in a song so powerful, so
shaking, that it stirred to the very bones all whom have ever heard it.
  Few Bards have been able to truly master this song, as it's
complexity and strength are hard to comprehend much less control, but
once mastered, this song can be sung in times of unease against the
Bard's enemy, causing the enemy to grieve so deeply, he finds it
tougher to land blows, and even harder to avoid them.

  Through their life a Bard has learnt many tales of fabled heros
from history. One of those tales tells of the legendary god of war,
Mars. When a Bard recounts this tale of Mars the Bards group become
so engrossed in the tale that they actually feel like they are
part of it. As a result the group feel charged for battle and find
it much easier to hit their foe.

   Twisting his voice to reflect the purest sorrow, a Bard can almost
reach into his enemies' soul, and touch upon his or her greatest fears
and saddest memories.
   Once the Bard reaches his enemy with this song, the enemy finds it
very difficult to continue fighting, and thus fights less effectively,
taking more hits and landing less.  This is an area spell, and with
the power of the Gods behind him, the Bard may sing confidently,
knowing the monsters will not attack.

group only have access to this magical caravan.
