...in the Psidai-verse, after the current 3rd years have left for high school, who would be picked to go? Considering only our current 2nd/1st years, our pool of candidates is:

Momo, Kaidoh, Echizen (Seigaku)
Hiyoshi, Ohtori, Kabaji (Hyotei)
Kirihara (Rikkai)
Kamio, Shinji (Fudomine)
Yuuta (St. Rudolph)
Kentaro (Rokkaku)

I figure Echizen and Kirihara are pretty much shoo-in's for the Singles 1 & 2 spots (unless they pull another Atobe-Sanada and put them into doubles 2 or something). Ohtori is definitely gonna end up in one of the doubles pairs, and the best matchup with him would probably be Kamio who's closest to Shishido's speed. But I would rather see the hijinks of Kamio being paired up with Kaidoh, so I guess Ohtori is D1 with Shinji? That leaves singles 3... I'm torn between Yuuta and Hiyoshi. But with Kirihara there I guess there wouldn't be much need for Yuuta's lefty-killer thing, and Hyotei does need more representation. And I suppose Momo can be alternate so he wouldn't have to stay back home alone. :p

Or, how about Momo-Kamio in D2, Kaidoh-Ohtori in D1 (beware the ukes!), Shinji or Hiyoshi as S3 and/or alternate, Kirihara in S2, and Echizen in S1.

Thoughts? Dissenting opinions? (Yes, there is a chance I might write this. Or at least something vaguely to do with it. But it's not high on my list.)

Edit: Am I the only one bitten by the plot bunny / mental image / speculation of Ohtori and Kaidoh bonding over puppies? In the year their senpai's are gone, of course. Or maybe Eiji's teaching a "how to be a sneaky uke" class for all his kouhai-tachi at Psidai... -_-;
