The Psidai (or Psydai, it doesn't matter how it's spelled) Universe is based primarily on the Prince of Tennis anime, with a few elements of the manga (by Konomi-sensi, to whom the entire franchise belongs to *coughdisclaimercough*). Our spin on it, however, was inspired by reading too much Psychic Academy manga, and maybe also a bit of Alice Gakuen. The PoT characters are only different from canon (or perhaps fanon) in that they each have some kind of supernatural powers. These powers aren't meant to be powerful or even useful half the time, nor an excuse to angst or for a dark government conspiracy type story. They're mainly there for comedic purposes only.
Aside from that, we also assume that all the main schools and major characters are going up their respective elevator school systems. So the same cast will still be with us in high school. After high school, all the psionics/psychics/major characters will be attending a special university for psi's - ie. Psidai/Psydai (short for Psychic Daigakuen of Psionics). So yes, practically all of PoT will eventually be squished together into the same school by our plot device. *insert evil laughter*
If you're new to this series/universe, it's suggested that you at least browse through the character sheets on the website (at least for Seigaku and Hyotei) to at least get an idea of the changes we've made to the characters from the canon universe.
