Not gonna lie, watching this just makes me want to go back to play FF14's free trial (which I've dropped because of packing). I'm not sure I can even muster up the interest to care about the story at this point. Maybe you should just wait until another expansion comes out, then you'll get the earlier expansions for a heavy discount.
And agreed that mobile games have art that's cuter and more attractive than GW2 art. At the moment, other than the social play aspect, I find GW2 does nothing. Single player RPG has better story and mobile games have more aesthetically pleasing dress-up. Tabletop pen&paper games have better real-time socialization plus deeper character building mechanics. Even browser-based incremental games have deeper progression trees. It feels like GW2 isn't really offering me anything that isn't better covered by another game at this point.
